Sinister Cave is an optional area in Act 2 of Clair Obscur Expedition 33. It is located on a small island far north of Sirene. You will learn where to find every weapon, music record, and special item inside this dark cave.
How to Enter Sinister Cave
You can only reach Sinister Cave after you unlock Esquie’s swimming skill. Swim to the small island north of Sirene where the cave entrance is. The cave is dark, but lamps light the way. Follow the lamps to avoid getting lost. Watch for glowing enemies and strange shapes in the shadows. The cave is not very big, but it holds some great items.
All Weapon Locations in Sinister Cave
There are three special weapons hidden in Sinister Cave.
1. Elerim
After entering Sinister Cave, walk through the tunnel until you reach a glowing inactive enemy. Elerim is right next to this enemy, making it easy to spot and grab.
2. Chalium
Keep moving through the cave until you find the boss, Chromatic Chalier. Defeat this boss to get the Chalium weapon. You also get two Resplendent Chroma Catalysts and five Color of Lumina materials for winning this fight.
3. Corderon
After you beat the boss, return to the lamp on the slope and look for a place to use your grapple. Climb up to a cliff, then turn around and grapple again to reach another area. Head toward the next lit lamp by the cliff, then drop down to find the Corderon weapon in front of a dead merchant. Corderon is for Sciel and is one of the best weapons for her in the game.
Music Record Location in Sinister Cave
There is one music record in Sinister Cave called Nocturne Pour Lumiere. To get it, start from where you found Corderon weapon. Look for a hole in the ground nearby. Drop down through the hole and land on a ledge below. The music record is there for you to pick up. This record is part of the set you need for the Connoisseur achievement.
Other Items
Defeating the Chromatic Chalier boss gives you more than just a weapon. You will also receive two Resplendent Chroma Catalysts. Along with these, you get five Color of Lumina materials. These items help you upgrade your weapons and gear.
