The Tides of Terraria update in Palworld added a big change—now you can recruit Zoe and her Pal, Grizzbolt, as allies. This guide will show you exactly how to start Zoe’s questline, where to find Grizzbolt, and how to complete each objectives to make Zoe & Grizzbolt your allies.
Where to Find Zoe After the Update and Start Quest
You can only start Zoe’s questline after you defeat her and Grizzbolt at the Rayne Syndicate Tower. Once you win that fight, head to the Desolate Church.
This spot is located at coordinates 66, -414. Walk inside the church ruins, and you will see Zoe waiting for you.
Talk to Zoe and she’ll tell you to capture a Grizzbolt. She hints that you can find Grizzbolt at Wildlife Sanctuary No. 1, which is south of the starting area.
After your chat, the “Don’t Get Cocky” quest will begin. Catch a new Grizzbolt at the sanctuary or use one you already have—just make sure it wasn’t caught using the Tower Boss glitch, since that won’t work for this step.
Capture 5 Free Pal Alliance Members
After you show Zoe your Grizzbolt, she will ask you to defeat or capture five Free Pal Alliance members. You can find these enemies north of the Desolate Church, past the Bridge of the Twin Knights. Focus on regular Free Pal Alliance members, since not all enemies in the area may count for the quest.
Once you finish the Free Pal Alliance objective, Zoe will send you to find her Tattered Memento. This is a blanket located at the Fort Ruins.
Use your map and the quest marker to find the exact spot. Pick up the memento and return it to Zoe at the Desolate Church.
How to Add Zoe & Grizzbolt as Allies in your Palbox
After you bring back the memento, Zoe will offer to join your team. Zoe & Grizzbolt then appear in your Palbox, and you can move them into your party using the Palbox Management Menu.
You can add them to your party using the Palbox Management Menu. Their icon is different from regular Grizzbolts and will be labeled “Zoe & Grizzbolt.”
Allies like Zoe & Grizzbolt show both the NPC and their Pal in your Palbox, and they take up one Pal slot in your party.
