Building roads in Roadcraft takes a lot of sand. Finding enough sand can feel slow, especially when sand quarries are far away or hard to reach. Many players want a quicker way to keep working without driving back and forth across the map. This guide will show you how to get sand from a field service vehicle in Roadcraft using simple steps.

Every time you fix a road in Roadcraft, you need sand. You load sand into your dump truck, then dump it on the broken road. After that, you flatten it with a bulldozer.

On some maps, sand quarries are everywhere. On others, there are only a few, and they are far apart. This makes it hard to keep your work going.

To get sand from a field service vehicle in Roadcraft, you need a dump truck and a field service vehicle. Park your field service vehicle close to where you are working. This will make it easy to bring sand right to your job site.

Make sure you have enough fuel, as this trick uses a little fuel each time you do it. If you have done some side jobs or opened up more roads, you will have more fuel to use.

How to Get Sand from a Field Service Vehicle in Roadcraft

Start by dumping all the sand from your truck where you need it. Your dump truck will be empty now. Normally, you would drive all the way to a sand quarry to fill up again.

Instead, open the menu and choose to recover your truck to any base. You do not need to use the base near a sand quarry.

When your truck is at the base, open the garage menu. Select your dump truck and choose to retain it. This puts it back in the garage. When you deploy your dump truck again, it will be full of sand.

Now, recover your dump truck again, but this time, choose your field service vehicle as the spot to recover to. Your truck will appear next to your field service vehicle, filled with sand and ready to use.

You can now keep working without driving all over the map. Every time you do this, you use a little fuel, so keep an eye on your fuel level.

This method is sometimes called an “exploit.” It may get fixed in later updates, so use it while you can. Always watch your fuel level. If you run out, you will not be able to recover your truck.

Now you know how to get sand from a field service vehicle in Roadcraft. Try it out next time you need to build or fix a road, and see how much faster your work goes.
