The Music on the Walls quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley lets you invite Peter Pan to your Disney family. To finish this quest, you need to build Peter Pan’s Hideout, follow The Forgotten and The Shadow on Skull Rock, and find glowing musical notes. This guide will help you find every note, open the captain’s chest, and solve the music puzzle so you don’t miss any steps.
When The Music on the Walls quest starts in Disney Dreamlight Valley, your first task is to follow The Forgotten and The Shadow on Skull Rock.
After this, head back to the starting area where the ship is docked. Here, you will see a glowing musical note floating in the air. Walk up to the note and interact with it.
Collecting this note will show you a memory of Peter Pan flying around with more musical notes nearby. This memory will also unlock your next objective in the quest.
Unlocking the Captain’s Chest and Finding the Map
Next, head into the Captain’s Cabin on the ship. Use the key you got from The Forgotten earlier to open the chest inside. You will find a treasure map in the chest.
Take the map and talk to The Forgotten again to ask about it. You should also ask about the memory you just received from the musical note.
Finding the Pan Flute and the Five Glowing Notes
Now it is time to look for buried pirate treasure and five glowing musical notes. Go to Dazzle Beach and look for a raft on Orb Pillar Island. Use the raft to travel to a small island with a marked spot on the ground. Dig there to find the Pan Flute.
Once you have the Pan Flute, you need to find five glowing notes in different places across the valley.
Here is where you can find each one:
- The first note is on Skull Rock, where you need to solve the Jade Skull riddles.
- The second note is in Ursula’s Cave on Dazzle Beach. Use your fishing rod in the water inside the cave to fish out the note.
- The third note is inside the treehouse in the Forgotten Land. Climb up to find it.
- The fourth note is in Olaf’s Cave in Frosted Heights. Use your pickaxe to break the rocks and get the note.
- The fifth note is in Dream Castle. Look around the main area to spot the floating note.
Solving the Music Puzzle
Once you have the Pan Flute and all five notes, return to Skull Rock and show them to The Forgotten. Place both on the musical altar.
Use the barrels to move the notes and match the pattern on the altar. Play the Pan Flute.
When The Shadow mixes up the notes, fix them again. Then, craft a Pixie Dust Lantern at the workbench, place it on the spinning wheel, and shine it at the board between the music screens to trap The Shadow.
Find Peter Pan and Finish the Quest
After you fix the notes and play the flute again, you need to find Peter Pan. Go back to the valley and use Furniture Mode to find the Pixie Trail.
Follow the trail to the Dream Castle plaza. Instead of going inside, use the portal near the Wishing Well to enter the Dark Dream Castle.
Follow the trail through doors and teleporters until you find Peter Pan near the stairs. Talk to him to add him to your Disney family.
Head back into Dreamlight Valley, place his house anywhere you wish, and pay Scrooge’s 20,000 Star Coin fee to welcome Peter Pan into your village. This will finish The Music on the Walls quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
