BTs Best Friend is a bronze trophy you can earn in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach by successfully capturing a large BT. Follow this detailed guide to learn how to catch one and claim your trophy with ease.
You need to unlock EX Capture Grenades to get started. These grenades become available after you reach two stars at the C1 South Distribution Center.
You also need to connect the Metagenomicist to the Chiral Network. Once you complete Order 033, you will get the EX Capture Grenade.
How to Unlock BTs Best Friend Trophy in Death Stranding
Head south of the Metagenomicist’s shelter. You will find a large BT in this area. This BT often looks like a giant octopus. You cannot miss it, as it stands out from the smaller BTs.
Start the fight by hitting the BT with anti-BT weapons like Blood Grenades or Assault Rifles. Keep moving to dodge its attacks and watch your health.
Attack until the BT’s health bar turns red. Do not use your EX Grenade yet. Wait until you see its mouth open wide and glowing red.
When the BT’s mouth is open and glowing red, throw the EX Capture Grenade right into its mouth. This will pop up and unlock the BTs Best Friend trophy in Death Stranding 2, the bronze trophy.
Once you capture a large BT in Death Stranding 2, it will leave behind a White Chiral Crystal. You need to pick up this crystal to complete the capture, so do not forget this step.
To summon a captured large BT, open your tools menu by pressing right on the d-pad, just like you would for your strand tool or Dollman cam. Select the BT Crystal of the BT you want to summon and press X. Remember, you can only summon large BTs during fights with other large BTs.
