To complete the O.R.C. Transmitter task in Grounded 2 at the Garbage Can, you need to climb to the top and hack the transmitter. Climbing the Garbage Can is challenging and requires some preparation and the right items. In this guide, I’ve covered how to reach the top of the garbage can in Grounded 2. Let’s get started!
You will need two important items to complete the climb: the gas mask and the Omni-Axe level 2. The gas mask keeps you safe from the toxic gas inside the garbage can. The upgraded Omni-Axe level 2 helps you break obstacles.
How to Craft Gas Mask

To make the gas mask, collect these four materials:
- Gnat fuzz from gnats near ponds
- Weevil noses dropped by weevils (drops are random; you may need to kill several)
- Roach chunks from cockroaches found near trash
- Parts from the stink bug located in the southwest corner of the garbage can area
How to Upgrade the Omni-Axe to Level 2
To upgrade your Omni-Axe to level 2, you first need to craft blueberry leather. You can make this by gathering blueberries from the picnic table area and unlocking the recipe using the analyzer. This upgrade is crucial for breaking obstacles during your climb up the garbage can.
How To Reach The Top of The Garbage Can in Grounded 2
Start your climb from the southwestern (or a little more to the west) side of the garbage can, where a branch stretches inside.

Step onto that branch to enter the bin. Once inside, jump from the banana to the nearby spoon.

Use crumpled paper, plates, and ropes as platforms to climb higher. When you get near the top, use your level 2 axe to break the apple blocking your path.

After clearing the apple, follow the path along the outside rim of the garbage can; this will lead you to the summit where the transmitter is located.
How to Hack the O.R.C. Transmitter

Enemies at the top can be tough, but you can avoid fighting and run past them to activate the transmitter. Make sure to save your game beforehand to keep your progress safe. Once you reach the transmitter, simply interact with it to complete the objective.
