In Death Stranding 2, you need to search for Lou and Fragile after accepting Order 7: “Deliver the Present for Lou” quest. Your objective is to return home to Lou and Fragile, which means you will walk almost 4,000 meters northeast from your starting point at the Former Geophysics Lab.
Before you start the search for Lou and Fragile, make sure you pick up Lou’s Present from the Cargo Shelf. Just head over to the terminal and grab it.
Once you leave the lab and head outside, you need to locate Fragile and Lou, who have become separated. To find Fragile, use your scanner by pressing L1. Look for purple footprints on the ground—these are left by Fragile.
Keep pressing L1 as you walk and follow the trail of purple footprints. This will lead you to Fragile, who is lying on the ground a short distance from where you started.
After you find Fragile, a cutscene will play, showing an attack that causes Fragile and Lou to become separated.
