If you want to reach the Big Top Showroom, you must repair the elevator first. This guide will show you how to repair the elevator in FNAF Secret of the Mimic. You’ll need to find the repair cassette, turn off the power, and use the right code to the elevator running again.
When you first get to the broken elevator, you’ll meet Mr. Helpful. He looks like a clown puppet and sits on top of a talking machine.
He’ll will tell you that you need a special repair cassette to start fixing the elevator.
Find the Repair Cassette
To begin, look for the red lockbox on the second-floor balcony, across from the elevator. The box has a keypad.
Mrs. Helpful will give you the code, which is 0158. Enter this code to open the box. Take the repair cassette inside. This cassette holds the instructions you need for the next steps.
Once you get the cassette, go back to the Repair-Matic and play it to begin the repair process.
Power Down and Clear Out Junk
Go back to the elevator and find the power switch nearby. Flip the switch to turn off the power.
Next, look at the elevator’s gears and moving parts. Remove any junk or broken pieces. Sometimes you will find things like an elephant head or other odd items stuck in the works. Make sure nothing is blocking the gears.
Lift the Elevator and Open the Hatch
Find the hand crank next to the elevator. Turn the crank clockwise to lift the elevator up. Mrs. Helpful will tell you when it is high enough.
When she says it is safe, press the green button to open the maintenance hatch. Now you can see the controls under the elevator.
Engage the Emergency Brake
Mrs. Helpful will remind you to use the emergency brake for safety. Go under the raised elevator and find the brake lever.
Pull the lever to lock the elevator in place. This step keeps the elevator from falling while you work.
Align the Elevator
Now you need to balance the elevator. Look for the sliders under the elevator. Move the sliders until the orange marker sits in the green zone.
This step is very important. If the elevator is not balanced, it will not move.
Input the Elevator Code
After aligning the elevator, Mrs. Helpful will tell you to use the red buttons near the repair panel. Each button matches a number below the alignment tubes.
Press the buttons in order: 1, 2, 3, 4. This is the most common code.
If it does not work, try 2, 3, 4, 1 or 3, 1, 2, 4. In my case, pressing 1, 2, 3, 4 worked. This step started the elevator’s check and repair process.
Finish the Repair and Restore Power
Once the code is entered, Disengage the emergency brake to unlock the elevator.
Step out from under the elevator and close the hatch. Reset the crank to its starting spot. Turn the power switch back on. You should hear the elevator power up. If you followed every step, the elevator will now work.
