How to Unlock the Duchess First
Before you can buy the Besmirched Frame, you must unlock the Duchess. To do this, you need to face the first boss, Gladius, who drops an item called the Old Pocketwatch.
You can get the Old Pocketwatch by beating Gladius or sometimes just by reaching him and failing. Take the Old Pocketwatch to the Priestess at the Roundtable Hold, and she will unlock the Duchess for you.
With the Duchess unlocked, the Small Jar Bazaar at the Roundtable Hold will start selling the Besmirched Frame.

Where to Buy Besmirched Frame
After unlocking the Duchess, head to the Small Jar Bazaar inside the Roundtable Hold. Look at the bottom of the shop’s list for the Besmirched Frame.
It costs 1,500 Murk, a currency you earn by finishing or failing expeditions. Make sure you have enough Murk, then buy the Besmirched Frame.
This relic will not disappear after use, and you can equip it to any Nightfarer to boost your stats.
Effects and Uses
When you equip the Besmirched Frame, it gives you two main benefits:
- Your attack power goes up when you take hits.
- Your faith stat increases by 3+.
You can manage relics using the Relic Rites menu at the Roundtable Hold. Relics are not used up when you use them in rites and can be used again.
The Besmirched Frame is both a strong relic for your Nightfarer and the key to unlocking the Revenant, one of the two secret classes in Elden Ring Nightreign.
