The Live By The Blade trophy is fairly simple to get if you know exactly what to do, have the right knives, and choose the best location. This achievement requires you to use two specific knives, the Scannaturi and the Rasolu, and perform each of their unique special attacks five times.
Important: Stiletto knives do not count toward this trophy.
How to Unlock the Live By The Blade Trophy in Mafia The Old Country
Equip the Scannaturi Knife
- This knife’s special move is the throw takedown.
- Approach an enemy, use the knife throw to take them down, and repeat until you’ve done it five times.
- Once finished, restart your checkpoint to quickly reset enemies.
Switch to the Rasolu Knife
- The Rasolu’s special is a one-hit close-range combat takedown.
- Get close to an enemy and press Circle to execute the move.
- Do this five times as well.
Watch Your Knife Sharpness
- Each special action reduces your knife’s sharpness.
- Before starting each set of moves, check the durability of your knife.
- Use sharpening tools to restore sharpness whenever necessary.
When you’ve completed five special attacks with each knife, the trophy will unlock.
Best Location to Perform Special Actions with Each Knife (5 Times)
The best spot to do this is in Chapter 5, shortly after you speak with Tino. There’s a weapons box close by where you can buy both the Scannaturi and Rasolu knives and swap between them as needed.
- Do your five takedowns with the first knife, restart the checkpoint, and then repeat with the second knife.
Using this method, you can unlock the trophy in just a few minutes without having to fight through large sections of the game.
